Frequently asked questions
How much does OB van hire in Europe cost?
Day rates start from €1,500 for dry-hire, €2,000 for UNIT10 UHD with a senior broadcast engineer and €4,500 for a full production crew. Travel, crew size and extra equipment are quoted separately.
Can UNIT10 work in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Benelux?
Yes. UNIT10 is based in Warsaw and regularly covers European productions, including DACH, Benelux and Central Europe. Travel planning is included in the quote.
What is included in dry-hire?
Dry-hire can include the OB van, EVS XT3, LiveU units, Panasonic cameras and PTZ, RTS intercom, lenses, prompters, fibre, audio and support equipment depending on availability.
What is REMI production with LiveU LU800?
REMI uses LiveU LU800 to send up to four frame-synchronised camera feeds, or one 4K feed, from the venue to our Warsaw control room for directing, replay, graphics and distribution.
Do your crews speak English?
Yes. Every crew we send abroad is English-speaking; German-speaking crew members are available on request.
How do you handle EU posted-worker requirements?
All crew members travel with A1 certificates and the required documents. We handle the paperwork.
What about VAT on cross-border services?
We invoice EU B2B services using reverse charge and provide a standard invoice with our EU VAT ID.
What are the power requirements for the OB van?
UNIT10 requires 1×32A. A 6000 W UPS covers switchover, and we can also operate with a generator.
How long is the setup?
Typically 3–4 hours from arrival to full readiness for a six-camera setup.
Is the equipment insured abroad?
Yes — the equipment is covered across the EU, including transport and on-site operation. A certificate is available on request.
Do you provide EVS replay, graphics and streaming?
Yes. We can provide EVS replay operators, live graphics, recording, contribution links and streaming distribution as part of the OB van, flypack or REMI package.
How fast can you confirm availability?
For most enquiries we confirm availability and send a recommended configuration with a clear net quote within one business day.
